Master Drury began his Taekwondo in March 1986 training in ITF Taekwondo in Croydon. On moving to Southampton to pursue his university education in September 1987 he joined a WTF Taekwondo club and trained there until June 1990. During this time he began training with Master William Rose at the then John Innes Chung Yong club.
Master Drury achieved his first Dan (Black Belt) in July 1990, 2nd Dan in December 1993, 3rd Dan in November 2001 and 4th Dan (Master) in May 2005.
Master Drury began teaching for Chung Yong in 1992 and in March 1993 officially became one of the club's joint instructors. The East Croydon club was started in 1996 at CJs gym, and moved to the current training venue at Energie Fitness in January 1998.
